To ensure that Catalog Items created using the Catalog Builder can trigger request tickets and follow a defined approval process aligned with your business needs, a flow is required. This can be accomplished by using ServiceNow’s Flow Designer. Below are the steps to create a flow:

Steps to Create a Flow in ServiceNow:

  1. Open Flow Designer
Navigate to All > Flow Designer from the application navigator.

  2. Create a New Flow
Click New > Flow to start creating a new workflow.

  3. Fill in Flow Details
Provide a name and other relevant details for your flow, then click Build Flow to continue.

  4. Add a Trigger
In the Trigger section, click Add Trigger, search for and select Service Catalog, then click Done.

  5. Add Actions
In the Action section, you can add an Action, another Flow, or a Subflow, depending on the process you want to build.

  6. Save and Activate the Flow
Once your flow design is complete, click Save, and don’t forget to click the Activate button to make it live.

  7. Use the Flow in a Catalog Item
The flow can now be linked to a Catalog Item by navigating to the Fulfillment tab in the item settings.
